Maya is a U3 psychology student minoring in communication studies, and is incredibly excited to be one of the MPSA Co-Presidents this year!

One of the main goals for the MPSA that her and Cassandra wanted to focus on this year is to try and promote a greater sense of community in the psychology department. As someone who loves to work and interact with others, she is keen on making sure that psychology students have more opportunities to connect with one another.

In addition to being Co-President for the MPSA, Maya is currently a research assistant in the Translational Research in Affect and Cognition (TRAC) Lab and the Child and Adolescent Social Competence Lab. She is interested in the interplay between social and cognitive-affective influences of development, particularly with regards to emotional dysregulation, the behaviors it may produce or influence,  and the implications that these factors may have in interpersonal relationships during adolescence and emerging adulthood.

Maya is always up for a chat and is here to help in any way that she can!
